Garden Room - Big Question - Term 3.1 - Where do plants and flowers come from? 25/26

This half term, our Big Question is “Where do plants and flowers come from?” We will begin by exploring the children’s own ideas and understanding before investigating further together. The seeds we planted last half term will continue to grow, giving the children the opportunity to observe changes over time, and we will also be planting beans and caring for them by watering them regularly. Each child will take home a sunflower seed to plant, and we will enjoy comparing whose sunflower grows the tallest. Alongside this, we will explore a range of fruits and vegetables, looking closely at the seeds inside them and investigating whether we can grow new plants from these. Through these experiences, the children will develop their understanding of growth, life cycles, and where plants come from.
