Garden Room - Big Question - Term 3.2 - How have we changed? 25/26

This half term, our Big Question is: “How have we changed?”

We will begin by looking back at photographs of the children from when they first started in September and talking about how they have changed since then. The children may notice that they can now do things they couldn’t do before, or that they have grown taller and more confident.

We will also be looking at baby photos of the children and discussing how they have changed over time. We will think about things they used to do as babies that they no longer do, as well as things they couldn’t do then but can do now. This will help the children understand how they have grown and developed, and how their appearance has changed too.

Throughout the half term, we will celebrate the children’s achievements and encourage them to reflect on what makes them feel proud. This will help build confidence and support them in recognising all they have learned and accomplished.

We will also explore how the natural world changes over time. Soon, some caterpillars will be arriving in our setting, and the children will have the exciting opportunity to observe how they grow and change. We will talk about what might happen to the caterpillars and learn about the life cycle of a butterfly.
