Planting Seedlings

The children have been helping with a very important job - plant out some vegetable seedlings that had been delivered.
We had to dig holes, put the seedlings in and cover them over with soil.
Then we had to give them a good water so they will grow.
We planted carrots, lettuces, leeks, onions, cabbages, chard, spinach and beetroots.
Some of the children have helped to make labels so we know what is planted where.

We will need to look after them well to make sure we have lots of vegetables to eat in the summer.
