Sunshine Room - Big Question - Term 3.1 - Where do plants and flowers come from? 25/26

This half term, our Big Question is, “Where do plants and flowers come from?”

We will explore plants and flowers through lots of hands-on play and simple investigations. The children will help care for the seeds we planted last half term by watering them and watching them grow. We will also plant beans together and talk about what plants need to grow, such as water, sunlight, and care.

Each child will take home a sunflower seed to plant with their family, and we will enjoy looking at photos and talking about how tall the sunflowers are growing. We will explore different fruits and vegetables, looking inside to find seeds and talking about where they come from.

Through stories, sensory play, planting, and observation, the children will begin to develop an early understanding of how plants grow and change over time.
