2022-23 Term 1.1 Back to Forest school

It has been lovely to be back in Forest school this half term. The returning children have helped to show our new friends all around the forest.

We have explored the mud kitchen, been balancing over the ditch, hiding in the trees and of course looking for mini beasts!

We have reintroduced our Forest school rules of 'Good looking' 'Good listening' 'Kind hands' 'No picking no licking! (mushrooms and berries) and 'Up to the sky down to the ground' (how we hold sitcks) and talked about how the rules keep us and our friends safe.

We had practiced our fire safey rules of not walking in the fire circle, remembering to walk around the outside and staying sat down once it's snack time. We've looked at the sadfety equipment - fire gloves, a bucket of water, fire blankets and a first aid kit - and talked about how we keep safe around the fire. The children satso well that we have even had our first fire of the year.

We look forward to lots more forest fun over the coming year.
