‘Early Help’
If you feel you need support we can offer ‘Early Help’. This package allows for support to be put in place at the right time to meet your family’s needs prior to issues reaching crisis point and to reinforce your family’s own skills to determine their life course

Listed below are some of the services the school can offer you:-

Kirsten Matthews is available to talk to parents/carers to discuss any concerns you may have regarding behaviour, learning or any other support you require.
Support to complete forms and other paperwork such as school admissions, 30 hours applications, 2 year FEYE.
Referrals to outside agencies such as: the Family Outreach Team, HomeStart, parenting courses, SALT, and local children’s centres.
Early Help Assessments and referrals. This is a joint referral between you and the school to find out what help you need but also talking about what is working well in your life. Based on what you say and what help you would like, a plan is put together so that professionals can work together to make sure you get the right sort of help.the plan is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet need and prevents needs escalating.
Our Safeguarding Team meets each fortnight to identify any children and families who would benefit from early help. It allows them to access services in the school and beyond to support children and their families.

Everyone’s responsibility
Many people worry that their suspicions might be wrong, or that they will be interfering unnecessarily. If you wish, you can telephone for advice without identifying the child. If the conversation confirms that you are right to be concerned you can then give the child’s details. You will be asked for you name and address too, but the agencies will take anonymous calls, so if you really do not want to say who you are, you do not have to. Remember, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
