2022 Spring term 2- "How do we know it is Spring?"

This term Sunshine Rooms BIG question has been; "How do we know it is Spring?"

Together with their supporting staff, the children turned their outside veranda into a fabulous Sandy Lane Florist- complete with a range of flowers and plants, pots, ribbons and a till to purchase beautiful bouquets from!

They have engaged in a range of planting and gardening activities including counting seeds, planting flowers and vegetables in our very own vegetable patch and creating some beautiful observational drawings from photographs of flowers they have taken. 

During their Forest School sessions the children continued to search high and low for signs of Spring, exploring in the soil and discussing where they think the water comes from to help everything grow. What a lovely, investigative term it has been.
