Forest school Term 2.1 2023/24

It has been a wet and windy term since Christmas so we haven't been in Forest school as much as we would have liked.

However, when we have been able to go the children have enjoyed exploring the winter environment. They have explored the ice that formed in the mud kitchen and noticed the trees have not got any leaves left.

We have looked for minibeasts as usual and not been able to find as many, the ones we have found have been keeping very still. We learnt from the internet that slugs and woodlice like to hibernate over the winter, so we tried not to disturb them too much.

We have of course continued to have lots of fun exploring and playing. Cooking in the mud kitchen, balancing across the rope bridge, hiding in the fairy garden and drawing with our friends.
