National Bee Day 2021

Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Rainbow Room Year: 2020 - 2021

This week we have been recognising "National Bee Day" and the importance of bees in our environment.

The children have had the opportunity to create their very own "seed bombs" to help spread wild flowers around our outdoor area and in Forest School. We have been using the term.. "bee engaged" to encourage the children to continue to be aware of our efforts in restoring, enhancing and supporting pollinators.

We used compost, clay and wildflower mix to combine together with water and create a little ball or seed bomb. The concept is to throw your seed bomb into your garden or an outside space and watch what grows.. hopefully attracting lots of beautiful bees and insects to come for a visit!
