This week the children have shown an interest in minibeasts...
The children took themselves on a minibeast hunt to see what bugs and insects they coud find. They had the fabulous idea of looking under the logs, this was a great place to look as they found so many different types of minibeasts, from slugs and worms to beetles and woodlouse.
Some of the children used magnifying glasses to look closely at the minibeasts to see them up close and personal, looking at details like how many legs they could see and all the small marks and ridges.
The children talked about what they have found at the end of the session and made some mark to represent the minibeast that they had found. we talked about how many and the different lengths and sizes.
