Forest School Term 1.2 The Nativity story

The children took part in a sensory Nativity story in the forest.

We followed the trail the angels had left and found grass, soft woolly sheep and shepherds outfits. We also found angels, feathers and headdresses. We looked at the items, felt them, tried them on and smelled the grass.

We then followed some small stars and found crowns, stars and gifts. We smelled the gifts and explored the stars. The children could dress up in a crown or headdress.

We then had to follow the big stars like the wise men had, these led us all the way to a big star and we found baby Jesus lying on some hay.

The children enjoyed dressing up and exploring the items and were very happy to find baby Jesus at the end!
