Wonderful us! Direction for learning Term 1:1

This term our direction for learning in Rainbow Room has been "Wonderful us"

We have been spending time getting to know each of our children and their families, supporting them in their transition to nursery and building special connections together. We have followed the childrens interests to explore a variety of familiar resources and also investigated a wide range of new sensory and physical activities.

The children are invited to participate in a focused small group time each day when they can greet each one of their peers and explore the day of the week with corresponding colours, objects of reference, smell and sound. During this group time we have been promoting the establishment of self awareness through the use of mirrors. Mirrors create ample opportunities for our children to not only explore and investigate their environment from a new perspective but also to help to develop their sense of self. 

Alongside this, we also acknowledged World Mental Health Day
