October

During October we acknowledged "Animal Awareness Day"- and guide dog appeal month. We had an extra special visit from some volunteers at "Dogs for good" charity, including some local people who have benefited from the charity and have special assistance dogs to help them with day to day tasks.

We spent this month embracing our differences, continuing to demonstrate that every child has a voice that matters and encouraging the children to help and assist one another during a range of inclusive activities including big art and sensory cooking sessions.

The children were able to spend time with Kingsley, a special support dog, and learn about all the ways assistance animals can help their owners - particularly those with physical disabilities and therapy dogs for children and young people with Autism.
